We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on alarm and video surveillance platforms. These platforms serve to the needs of around 100,000 customers in Europe. The platform provides applications and tools for end-customers to use their alarm systems remotely, including controls, video streaming, and statistics. It also supports internal teams in monitoring system status, customer support, configuration, and more. There are many ongoing and planned projects, such as adding support for new devices and flows, redesigning several large parts of the system, and more.

The perfect candidate is someone who:

• Has strong experience in distributed backend systems development and follows common best practices.
• Has several years of experience in high-level software design, working with SQL and NoSQL databases, message brokers, cloud, and microservices.
• Pays close attention to code quality, both their own and others’.
• Is ready to maintain and replace legacy code, as the team’s portfolio includes several services developed many years ago.
• Initiates improvements and brings new ideas, both technical and business-related.
