The partnership with Netgear was one of ITS’s initial projects. The first collaboratively developed cloud product was ReadyCLOUD. It is a 100 % free service that allows users to access files on their ReadyNAS storage devices or on any storage connected to their Netgear Nighthawk routers anytime, anywhere, or from any web-enabled device. The access to the data does not depend on NAS static IP or some other permanent address on the Internet and works even behind NAT and/or firewall.

ReadyCLOUD is the equivalent of popular cloud-based applications, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, etc. The only difference is that the data is stored on the user’s own home storage.

ITS created the entire system, including front-end, back-end, and NAS firmware. Our engineers delivered clients for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

The high-load IoT and SSO platform is another cloud solution developed by ITS for Netgear from architecture to implementation, commissioning, and maintenance. This project’s priorities were reliability, ease of use, performance, scalability, and network security. As a result, millions of Nighthawk and Orbi smart WiFi routers and Insight routers and switches are available for remote control via mobile and web applications.

ITS engineers have developed several back-end microservices and device firmware that make up the core of the IoT system. Therefore, we provided a well-documented and tested by automated and load tests API to the Netgear application teams.

Arlo is a home video surveillance system evolving into a fully-featured Smart Home system. ITS has been cooperating with Arlo right from the brand’s emergence, which ended by branching off from Netgear and the IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2018. As a trusted Netgear vendor, the ITS team has become the basis for Arlo’s successful independent operation. Now, ITS is Arlo’s important development center.

The Arlo project is divided into many domains: mobile client for iOS, Android, web client, server side, cloud infrastructures, network issues with video streaming protocols, testing, and in each such domain, we have a team, research, and development.

Specialists from different teams of our R&D center are responsible for quite a wide range of critical functionality: from load testing of cloud-based artificial intelligence server solutions (Arlo cameras provide the ability to detect events in the video stream) to testing the camera’s firmware. The tasks of the R&D center are research and development. The development center implements what has been approved as a result of the research.

Thus far, there are 11 teams in ITS totaling about 80 people devoted to different aspects of Arlo’s Smart Home Platform.

The combination of roles, processes, policies, parameters and standards that ensure effective and efficient use of information, enabling an organization to achieve its goals — this is data governance. As a result, processes and responsibilities are formed that ensure the quality and security of the data used in the activities of the enterprise. Data governance delimits the authority of who can take what action, with what data, in what situations, and by what methods. Data governance ensures that data roles are clearly defined and responsibilities and accountabilities are consistent across the company.

A well-structured data governance strategy is essential for any organization that works with big data.

Business drivers highlight what data needs to be particularly controlled in your data management strategy and the benefits expected from those efforts.

For example, if a business factor in your data management strategy is privacy of personal finance data, you will need to securely manage customer data as it flows through your business. Data storage requirements will be determined to ensure compliance with the established requirements.

ITS successfully participated in a data governance project with SecureCircle LLC. In November 2021 SecureCircle and its projects were acquired by one of the largest players in this market — CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.
